Wedding Photography Rome / Tivoli Wedding photography - Vic & John May - 2019 - Working alongside www.helenwilliamsphotography.co.uk
Well, what can I say, I was lucky enough to help shoot a wedding in Rome, alongside Helen from www.helenwilliamsphotography.co.uk, and it was absolutely incredible!
We started our journey the day before the wedding, scouting the area, visiting every tourist spot, and making sure the photos would be as good as possible as we only had one shot at this.
The next day, after drinking wine with the bride and groom the night before, they were both ready at the Dharma Luxury hotel, Rome. As hotel's go, this was one of the best, the suite they had booked into was perfect for photos.
After prep, we were collected in our own 'Photographers car' and drove to Tivoli for the ceremony in the most incredible Italian style room. During the ceremony, the heavens opened, in the worst rain in 57 years, however, this just meant we were able to stay inside and use the decor to create stunning portraits.
Luckily for us, after the drive back to Rome, the rain stopped and we were able to get some further photos in the orange garden overlooking the city, during sunset, what more could we have asked for!
We were then invited to put of camera's down and join the family for a 4-course meal at the Michelin star restaurant I Sofa, again overlooking the city.
1 too many wines and Prosecco later, we were up and out again at 4 am travelling to all the sites around Rome for some more portraits! We were tired but instantly woke up with the noise of drunken girls at the trevi fountain. We then visited the Spanish steps, Colleseum and Vatican city, it was absolutely epic!!!
Thanks so much to Helen at www.helenwilliamsphotography.co.uk for asking me to join her on this little adventure! It was an absolute pleasure as always to come and help out!
We could have spent all week taking photos of Rome and cannot wait to go back. But for now, here is a sneak Preview of Vic & Johns very very special day.
