Florence & Fred would like to thank everyone who shared their wedding photos, the response was huge! They have just returned from a wonderful honeymoon, their original holiday was cancelled due to the current government travel restrictions but they decided not to let this get in the way of their happiness and decided a tour of the house and garden would be just as much fun, spending time together was all that mattered. So during the extended lockdown off they went in their Lego camper-van. Here is their story and a few photos they have sent me to share in this short blog post.
Fred was unable to get his hair cut, it had grown considerably since the wedding, and due to seeing so many 'wife cutting hair' fails on facebook, he decided just to leave it. Florence went to Morrisons to do a weekly essential shop, it seems hair dye was one of the essentials being stock piled so she bought a blonde for a change as thats all they had left, which is why she looks a little different! She watched Holly Willoughby's youtube video and learnt instantly how to colour her hair herself. Thanks Holly!
Fred was super excited to start the honeymoon on the beach, they took to their camper-van and for some reason began driving over rough terrain with mud flying everywhere. Fred thought this would be a good photo to take but could not think of a way to tell a story, but assures me that it is a cool photo. They decided to take one set of clothes each as this would save a lot of time having to change their heads around throughout the week.
*Please note, Fred & Florence only spent time together, they did not meet friends or family and only stayed within the grounds of the house and didnt actually visit anywhere*

They parked their van next to the mountains and headed down to the beach for a BBQ and drinks, unfortunately Florence forgot to pack any food but they still lit the BBQ for effect and continued to drink from the red plastic cups, you know like in American pie. Fred thought it was fun to bury himself in the sand while Florence read the only book she could find in the Lego box.

Fred was getting a bit bored and was thinking of the zip line day he had originally planned, so he decided to have a go at making it himself by tying cotton between 2 flowers. He lost his grip and nearly fell due to the fact I wanted to use the shocked face to make the photo better.
They then headed to the beach hut where they would stay for a few minutes before it was flooded by water from a jug to create the reflections. They had a great time jumping in the pool but had to be quick as Lego swimming pools do not hold water for very long. Fred had the most fun surfing and jet-skiing, which was created in a saucepan with blue cake colouring. This took over an hour because Fred just couldn't get the splashes quite right.

After a swim in the pool and day at the beach it suddenly started raining, so Florence and Fred headed outside for a photo with their umbrella, it absolutely chucked it down, but only for 3-5 seconds while they had the photo taken, the weather then cleared up to reveal the most amazing sunset.

The sunset was just perfect, in fact, it was the best one I could find and print out from google. The golden coloured sand was something only seen in dreams, purchased from B&Q a few months earlier for laying patio slabs. It was slightly darker than the usual beach sand, but its all I had. The water left over from the rain created an increable reflection, with the golden-hour light from the sun and the Full CTO Gel From 'MagMod', it was just perfect!

Florence and Fred with some Bubbles.... all my wife could find on her food shop when i asked her to try and find something creative for me to use!

Next they decided to Cliff Dive, this was because the silhouette looked amazing with the background. Florence fell off the cliff because the string holding her up kept spinning, but Fred managed the perfect dive. Florence could have tried again, but after 100 or so tries, she just gave up, it was not worth the time.

The next day the couple went on a few adventures around the house, including a trip to see the Cat, Toby. They explored a cave where the sunlight flooded in, which made for a very creative photo. Florence and Fred said the cave photo was one of the hardest and time consuming photos, it wasn't just a case of walking into the cave but more the fact the brown paper wouldn't sit right to create the walls, and after trying and trying, finally worked after about 2 hours.

At the end of the day, they parked their camper-van under the stars, they lit a fire and sat watching the sky. Unfortunately the photo took so long to take, the fire (candle) burnt to low to be able to see in the photo, and the stars over Middlewich where not quite as bright as the stars over Tenerife on a recent holiday, so decided to edit them in!

Fred and Florence ran out of ideas for photos in the sun, so decided to drive their campervan into the snowy part of the house, because I had lots of flour and decided it would make great snow! They headed up the snow mountain, but first got stuck in a snow storm. They then sat in the snow before finally arriving at the top.

Florence and Fred had an amazing honeymoon spending quality time together. They are now looking forward to replanning their cancelled holiday for next summer. Florence has been house hunting online and is also trying to persuade Fred that they should buy or foster a dog, claiming lockdown would be a perfect time whilst they are having to work from home, Fred isnt convinced so she might have to work on him a bit longer or until one can be found on a essential weekly food shop!
It took a week to set up and take these photos, and it was soooo much fun! Here is behind the scenes of how the photos were created.
