Wedding Photography Shrigley Hall - Clare & Emily Socially distanced Wedding 2020

Emily & Clare booked with me over 2 years prior to their wedding day and ive been so excited to work with them ever since. Just recently with all the restrictions getting tighter due to covid-19, they were unsure if their day could still go ahead. But with a plan to visit guests on route to the ceremony, 15 guests in attendance and a brodcast ceremony, they were good to go! And I am so glad they were able to go ahead, It was just the most amazing day, with close family and friends, a stunning venue and 3 Mini Coopers, what more could you ask for.

Emily and Clare were both ready at home, before being collected by the Italien job Mini Coopers, they then went to visit family on route to the venue, this must have meant the world to family who wanted to see them tie the knot, but were unable to. After photos with the family, we heading onto Shrigley Hall.

Arriving at Shrigley Hall, the guests were all socially distanced and armed with face masks and hand sanitizer, prior to entering the ceremony room, which just seems the normal thing to do now. We had a zoom conference held during the ceremony, streamed to friends and family who were unable to attened due to the 13 guest limit.

After the ceremony, we headed out for some photos with the Mini Coopers, unfortunately it rained so hard, getting any photos outside was looking very unlikely, so Emily and Clare went for a short drive, on their return the clouds parted and the sun came out, just long enough to have their photos taken at the bottom of the drive at Shrigley Hall.

On our return to the venue, it had started raining again, but to our astonishment, it had stopped for long enough in order to have family photos in the grouds. Then back inside, photos on the stunning staircase before the wedding breakfast. In the evening we were able to have more photos around the grounds after cutting the cake, but it was weird not to have an evening party, but hopefully this will just be postponed until next year!
