Merrydale Manor Wedding Photography – Candice & David
Wow! What a day this was. After having to postpone their wedding from 2020 to summer 2021, Candice and David were finally married at the incredible Merrydale Manor.
The sun was shining, the guests were happy to be out the house, the venue and grounds are perfect and a party led by the Rush, what more could we ask for.
It really is great to be back photographing weddings again in 2021, this was a hell of a way to get things going again. Thanks soooo much for having us capture your special day, here is a preview of your day back in June.
What is it like photographing a wedding at Merrydale Manor?
We visit a lot of wedding venues, and nothing really compares to Merrydale Manor, it is simply stunning. Since the owners run the more established wedding venue, Colshaw hall, next door, they certainly know what they are doing. With help from the most amazing wedding planner, Kirsty, the day will run faultlessly. Photographing the wedding details, dress, flowers etc, in the very highly maintained bridal suite makes for some amazing well lit photos from the natural light coming in from the window. The ceremony room, again well lit using natural light falling onto the bride and groom, makes the photos look incredible. Outside for portraits, you are spoilt for choice, you have the gardens behind the house, the lake and jetty, the mansion front and much more, no matter where you go the photos will be amazing. The wedding breakfast room with that spectacular chandelier is always great for photos, using the light from the chandelier to light the bridal party, the owners have certainly put some thought into this from a photographers point of view. At night the lake it lit up and surrounded by trees, makes for some great photos using flash lighting. We cannot recommend this venue enough for your wedding day.
